About Library

The Central Library of L.E. College known as Learning Resource Centre (LRC Building). The Central Library spreads over to the ground floor and first floors with an area of 1052 sq.m. It has collections of Books, Journals & other resources in various subjects of Engineering and technology. Central library has printed books, printed Journals, E-Journals, back volumes, CD\DVDs etc. Central library has using SOUL 3.0 Library automation Software for automation works. The library staff are meticulously focused on providing a comfortable, user-friendly environment to enables learning and knowledge creation.

The library has a membership of the E-Sodhsindhu Consortium through INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar. Which provides 2 E-resources (1) ASCE E-Journals (American Society of Civil Engineering and (2) SCOPUS database. This organization has been in existence for more than 70 years, and its library is equally as old. This Central Library has a collection of around more than 2500 rare books. In the current era, this book is out of print.

A total of 50 students can sit in the library's reading room at time. The library comprises more than 41,000 volumes, which are frequently updated by adding new collections in a variety of formats, such as textbooks and reference books etc. All the departments of this institute have departmental libraries, thus catering to the needs of undergraduate, postgraduate students and information sources of the faculty at the departmental level.

  • To acquire various print and electronic resources for facilitating the success of the faculty and students.
  • The mission is to provide college students with the information they need to reach their full academic potential and to assist them in developing the research skills required for lifelong learning.
  • To continue evaluating the library's contributions to the outcomes of L.E. College students, faculty, and researchers.

E-Resources

Since last 4 years our institutes receives 2 E Resources through the e-Shodhsindhu Consortium project, which is funded by the AICTE's Institution Development Scheme.

These e-resources are IP-based, thus there is no need for a username or password to access them. It can be access via the college's internet connection.

The ASCE Library is a comprehensive database that contains the full text of articles of interest from all civil engineering and Applied Mechanics disciplines. The Library has over 86,000 full-text papers from over 42 ASCE peer-reviewed journals and over 190 published proceedings - that's over 690,000 pages! Every year, approximately 7,000 new papers are added. Access to this premier collection is available beginning with the first volumes.
